What you’ll be doing...

Whether it’s coverage, reliability, or speed - Verizon has the best network. Verizon is a leader in innovation by being the first company to launch a commercial 5G network. In addition to amazing speed, 5G will enable next-generation capability such as virtual reality, self-driving cars, and remote surgery. You will be helping build this new network and your work will make an impact on the lives of thousands in the future with how they live, work, and play.

  • Collaborate with other Network teams such as RF Design, Real Estate, Construction, Operations and System Performance to design and develop new products.
  • Work with vendors to design, test and deploy concealment shrouds for 5G on public and private spaces.
  • Handle project management to fit 4G, LAA, CBRS and 5G HW in existing NYC street furniture.
  • Work with vendors, HQ Maintenance Engineering and Sourcing teams to get new products and shrouds approved at the right price.
  • Utilize SalesForce and Fuze project management tools.
  • Work with RF and vendors on design and developing processes for 4G and 5G deployment on utility poles at different municipalities.
  • Attend meetings with municipalities and City officials to discuss network needs in their jurisdiction.
  • Manage LAA, CBRS and carrier aggregation trials and work with Nokia for integration and activation.
  • Provide technical assistance with MLA (Mass Lease Agreements) and franchise proposals.

You enjoy the challenge of orchestrating a lot of moving parts to deliver a solution for the team. Sharing information within and outside the group/company and influencing people to meet your timeline comes naturally to you. You are interested in new technologies and services in the area of cell site engineering and keep up with changing technology. Working independently is as comfortable for you as being part of a team.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six years or more years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of cellular network architecture and products - Baseband, RRH, Antenna, backhaul, GPS, diplexers/triplexers, power requirements, etc.
  • Knowledge of Real Estate and Regulatory processes.
  • Driver's license required
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Flexibility to attempt alternate solutions to resolve issues and seamlessly adjust to a dynamic, changing business environment.
  • Organizational and project planning skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform with general guidance and a thorough understanding of the job and the department's expectations and goals.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, listening attentively, applying appropriate grammar, and integrating large volumes of information from multiple sources.
