What you’ll be doing...

The Manager of Inventory will be responsible for financial oversight of inventory controls in retail locations. The Area Consumer Inventory team, in collaboration with the teams from the other 2 Areas, collectively offers support in troubleshooting techniques, and improves processes with the ultimate goal of making the management of assets at Verizon a best practice. This position will require partnership with Area peers to lead and manage as a National organization. This position will monitoring inventory supply with an understanding of current and coming promotions and recent inventory issues. Partner with the HQ Supply Chain Management organization to ensure the proper supply is available for all channels of distribution. Assist Inventory Sr. Analysts with store support issues.

  • Act as an intermediary for all Market sales channels and HQ Supply Chain issues.
  • Communicate inventory supply concerns to various levels of the organization.
  • Provide outlook necessary for sales/marketing to make business decisions.
  • Partner with Market and HQ Marketing and Supply Chain Management to coordinate the execution of the product life cycle.
  • Provide Market reporting and analysis as required.
  • Evaluate channel practices that fall outside the control measures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with various levels of the organization to review operational metrics.
  • Present detailed concerns and improvement recommendations, both verbally and in writing, to middle and senior management.
  • Lead and/or participate in cross-functional and cross-Area initiatives.
  • Represent the area operational practices and provide input to improvements to inventory controls and business processes.
  • Help manage and improve the process and utilization of the inbound support tool (AYS)
  • Understand inventory system and operational training needs for the area and coordinate implementation.

You'll need to have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office products.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master Degree or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Six or more years of experience in inventory, operations, retail or audit related fields, along with management/supervisory experience.
  • Wireless industry and/or At Your Service experience.
  • Knowledge of VZW POS and wSAP.
  • Workflow Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Retail Operations.
  • Ability to effectively interact with Area Senior Leadership and experience with influencing others.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple assignments with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and project management skills.
