As part of this team, you will play a critical role in our network transformation through building a unified network across all lines of business and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of our customers connected.

  • Monitor and trend VoLTE, LTE, 5G, and CDMA network statistics to find and resolve network issues including both RAN and core problems.
  • Analyze drive data with the goal of improving VoLTE, LTE, 5G and CDMA network performance.
  • Identify and resolve data performance issues including latency, throughput, failed connection attempts, and drop connections via both statistical and drive data.
  • Analyze VoLTE and LTE call flow scenarios and determine call failure reasons and resolutions.
  • Work special event locations and projects managing the System Performance monitoring and command center logistics from beginning to end.
  • Design testing methodologies and test plans for performance testing of new features or products.
  • Develop automation algorithms and/or methodologies to increase network efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues driving LTE and 5G performance related to the RF Network.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of LTE and 5G networks with special emphasis on VoLTE air link protocols and data session call flows.
  • Knowledge of the wireless network including the RAN and core.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience in the cellular industry.
  • Technical knowledge of the data network including expert use of RTT and IRISVIEW for diagnostic views of VoLTE issues.
  • Ability to set priorities, work with minimum supervision and with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Technical, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with various System Performance and RF Design related tools, RTT, TrueCall, DMAT, NetGeo, Irisview, etc.
  • Proficiency in using tools that provide information from PCMD, Probes, Operational Measurements and Alarming system and understanding the results.
