What you’ll be doing...

The Engineering Program Office Data Science Team has an immediate opening for a talented and experienced Reporting and Visualization specialist with hands on expertise who will help reporting and storytelling. Creative problem solving using your knowledge of UX principles, UI design paradigms, will be central to this role that will not be limited to data visualization and storytelling, but extend to include data governance, data modeling and data management. You will need to demonstrate your ability to produce high-quality deliverable, work time crunches, manage changing priorities and short timelines and have an indefatigable intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn about multi-channel operation. . As the Reporting and Visualization specialist, you will develop reports, help shape reporting strategy, including current and future states of report delivery, metric development and analytics, and creative problem solving.

  • Design and create dashboards using Tableau.
  • Utilize best in class methodologies to build and measure KPIs.
  • Extract the data for those KPIs and model the data so it can be used to answer wide array of business questions.
  • Query the data to produce accurate results and ultimately visualize it so it is easy to understand and follow.
  • Demonstrate a proficiency in Data/Dimensional Modelling
  • Work in & demonstrate expertise in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, and Tableau visualization tool.
  • Use best in class tools and be able to make decision on which tools should be used for which problem.
  • Data and visualization are part of your DNA! Collaborate with various teams to gather, store, process and report data for deriving valuable insights.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, engineering, finance, statistics or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of experience designing and developing business facing dashboards, and data visualizations in BI platforms such as Tableau, QlikView, OBIEE, BO or comparable tool.
  • Experience using SQL, ETL, and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree related to business intelligence, statistics, programming, or other related technical discipline.
  • Experience with Tableau or relevant data analytics and presentation software.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Geospatial Analytics experience.
  • Knowledge of R and Python.
  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional.
  • Analytical and data modeling experience.
  • Advanced understanding of databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality deliverable.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and short timelines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn about multi-channel operation.
