What you’ll be doing...

We are looking forward to hire a VoIP & Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) engineer for our network operations center in Ostrava. With your first assignment you will be joining a team providing second level Carrier VoIP as well as second level UCC support. Our customers benefit from the experience and the capabilities of our engineers to be able to analyze service end to end. This includes the Verizon managed local customer network, the UCC infrastructure as well as the Verizon provided VoIP service.

The VoIP & UCC expert team is part of a managed service organization mainly supporting complex, bespoke managed networks and solutions with locations around the globe.

Beside technical skills and experience in a similar telecoms environment you are familiar with direct communication with customers as this has proven to be key for the success supporting our services. Good soft skills and the ability to work in a team complete your profile.

  • Be the next escalation level for our skilled 24x7 Service Desk teams as part of the Incident Management process
  • Identify, analyze and drive cases as part of Problem Management
  • Support and guide customers how to setup and use the provided services
  • Liaising with suppliers to escalate technical issues and following this up to conclusion
  • Build and maintain service and/or customer specific documentation required within operations and provide internal trainings
  • Identify service improvement opportunities and drive those forward with the relevant stakeholders
  • Be available to work outside business hours for planned maintenance or on call activations

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • A Technology Degree or relevant technical experience
  • Ablityto occasionally travel for meetings at Verizon or customer locations
  • English Language skills – both written and verbal

Even better if you have:

  • Good understanding of routing and switching technologies
  • Good understanding of Carrier Voice & VoIP services (SIP, H.323)
  • Experience in Incident Management of UCC solutions (mainly, but not limited to Cisco, Microsoft or Broadsoft)
  • Experience of Session Boarder Controller (Oracle, Sonus, Audiocodes)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional level certification (-Voice, - Collaboration) or equivalent experience in providing UCC service support
