What you’ll be doing...

Do you enjoy pushing the envelope as an instructional designer? What about creating learning experiences that are unique, transformative, and sometimes a bit outside the box? How do you feel about being a member of a dynamic learning experience design studio with a charter to protect the integrity, safety, and security of the Verizon Enterprise? As a member of this studio, you will not only analyze learning needs, create actionable designs, bring great ideas to light, and evaluate learning outcomes, you will also influence the learning culture of Verizon with your excitement and passion for the learner.

Responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Creating actionable learning experiences, role plays, simulations, and performance support as needed.
  • Designing and developing all aspects of learning including classroom, web conferencing, mobile, and eLearning modalities.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness, impact on our business, and continuously improving our solutions using models of evaluation.
  • Leading projects including milestones, SME and manager reviews, and communicating progress and issues for internal teams.

** This position can sit in any valid Verizon U.S based business office.**

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of design and delivery of employee training.
  • Experience in the design and development for various delivery styles including instructor lead, self- paced and virtual modalities.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training approaches.
  • Experience consulting with HR professionals and their business clients.
  • Experience managing projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality.
  • Willingness to innovate and design without boundaries.
  • A global mindset and strong collaboration approach with remote peers.
  • Visual design experience.
  • Experience in Captivate 8 or 9, Storyline 3, and/or Camtasia Studio 8.
  • Ability to quickly learn technology and technical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and customize activities to ensure participant engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Experience with levels of evaluations.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
