What you’ll be doing...
This particular position will interface with the Network Transformation Program Management Team, Switch & Central Office Engineering Staff & Planning, COEI, Operations & Outside Plant Planning/Engineering in an effort to reduce and simplify our network and the associated network build and modernization as we transform from copper based to a fiber based network.
Aid in the project management of new equipment build in the Central Office to support line/DS0 and T1 migrations from copper to fiber and the TDM Switch collapse to an IP Softswitch (CS2K/C20) plans.
Orchestrating a fluid and smooth process that can be repeatable and streamlined.
Tracking monitor and update various systems as the network is transformed and report on status, progress and issues.
Utilizing Central Office and IOF engineering and design to ensure all working services are maintained and fully transitioned onto the more efficient fiber network.
Working hand in hand with Outside Plant, local central office engineering teams, TCP, TPM, Tier 2, COEI, and vendor installation teams and switch cutover team.
