What you’ll be doing...

The Distinguished Member – Technical Staff (DMTS) will provide critical analysis and strategy relating to the ongoing operations and optimization of the Salesforce cloud CRM environments at Verizon. Verizon is a leader in the adoption of cloud technologies including those provided by Salesforce. The DMTS will be focused on the identification of opportunities for ongoing improvement leading to greater standardization among Salesforce environments, consistent application of security configuration, optimal architecture and value optimization. The DMTS will be a technical authority on both existing functionality and a leader within the business on dissemination of knowledge related to planned enhancements to the Salesforce environments. The DMTS will support reviews of new functionality including potential adoption of “AppExchange” services and will be responsible for stewardship of any non-Salesforce applications proposed for integration with the Salesforce environments. Work will include analysis and planning within both the coded and declarative functionalities of the Salesforce environment. The DMTS will become the leader for our efforts within the event monitoring and transaction control space and will propose and design solutions within that sector. The DMTS will regularly support efforts with other Verizon organizations related to the compliance and operations of our Salesforce environments. The DMTS will work closely with the Director of Sales Automation who leads planning and assurance on a broad portfolio of systems supporting over 15,000 users. You will work independently as you will conduct direct analysis which will then be presented to the larger organization and often to other organizations within the business. Travel should be minimal in this role so you should be effective in virtual communications including web and video conferencing.

This position can be located in any valid Verizon locations or work remotely within a reasonable commute distance to a valid Verizon location.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Salesforce experience working in complex environments.
  • Experience with Salesforce development environment with the ability to review APEX/Visual Force.
  • Experience with Salesforce API model and be able to assess integrations and API activity.

Even better if you have:

  • Salesforce Certifications: (Advanced Administration, Identity & Access Manager Designer, Sharing & Visibility Designer Certifications)
  • Experience in solutions analysis or sales operations automation.
