What you’ll be doing...

You will be building the network to ensure densification and deployment of new technologies. As a Construction Engineer, you will ensure that network capacity solutions are deployed efficiently, therefore providing the quality network that our customers have become accustomed to.

  • Collaborate with business partners for fiber, power deployments and construction supporting the Small Cell build plan.
  • Coordinate workload and distribution of work activities as part of a team.
  • Independently investigate complex issues, manage multiple priorities, converse well with construction entities, and provide direction in the field.
  • Execute on project management responsibilities related to Small Cell deployment.
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to deployment teams to ensure that all details of the plan are completed, including information gathering, analysis, and documentation.
  • Handle RFPs, quotes, purchase order submittals, invoicing and material releases.
  • Solicit bids, negotiate and award contracts while managing the Small Cell project implementation/construction process from inception through completion.
  • Manage numerous general contractors, review pricing and construction responsibilities.
  • Serve as a liaison between various departments to facilitate the resolution of issues and concerns as they relate to implementation, integration and optimization.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the wireless/telecom industry.
  • Knowledge in the field of Small Cell construction and deployment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingess to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Constructed sites in the public right of way.
  • Project management certifications.
  • Network planning and implementation experience.
  • Relevant commercial experience.
  • Team leadership experience - lead/motivate/coach large diverse teams toward common objectives.
  • Experience with written and verbal communication to high level leadership.
  • Experience with providing power to small cell nodes.
