What you’ll be doing...

The Client Partner – Contract Strategy role is a Business Development position that is responsible for setting the growth strategies for a specific set of contract vehicles – Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) vehicles, Blanket Purchase Agreement) (BPA) and GSA Schedule contracts. Responsibilities also include:

  • Partnering with Government procurement officials related to the contract vehicle, as it relates to driving continued growth on the contract vehicle, and the evolution of new technologies and solutions over the life of the contract vehicle period of performance.
  • Aligning the contract strategies with the Verizon Public Sector Go to Market Strategy and strategic initiatives.
  • Achieving contract revenue growth quotas.
  • Creating and monitoring contract strategy success metrics.
  • Providing regular executive update on the status of contract strategy development and execution.
  • Identifying and supporting potential strategic partnering opportunities that will drive continued contract vehicle success and growth.
  • Documenting contract-specific strategies in a Knowledge Management Database.
  • Creating and leading sales training related to the contract strategies.
  • Collaborating with sales, business development, and Capture leaders to identify opportunities aligned with specific contract vehicles.
  • Serving as Sales Team Subject Matter Expert for assigned Contract Vehicles.
  • Participating in Bid Responses for RFPs released under assigned Contract Vehicles, including acquisition strategy sessions, solution review session, and proposal color team reviews.
  • Identifying contract related events, internally and externally, and partner with internal marketing and sales communication stakeholders to drive contract-based marketing activities.

What we’re looking for...

The role requires a seasoned and effective Business Development strategist and communicator with acumen in Federal Acquisition Regulations and federal procurement trends. This position requires a person who can work collaboratively, as part of a team, is well-organized, self-motivated and success driven. Demonstrated industry knowledge and customer relationships is required. A background in Sales or Business Development is preferred.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Information Technology or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Five or more years of Federal Business Development experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree.

  • Knowledge of the Federal and State and Local procurement landscape and associated FAR/acquisition regulations.

  • ITIL, PMP or like certifications

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Willingness to travel.
