What you’ll be doing...

As Senior Investigator within Verizon’s Global Corporate Security Operations (GCSO) you will operate in a fast paced international environment, with direct responsibilities for carrying out a broad range of corporate investigations, with a lot of focus on compliance breaches, major data breaches, fraud, bribery and corruption. Responsibilities will also involve working with internal stakeholders such as Internal Audit, Legal and Finance.

  • Ensuring that investigations are conducted in a manner that meets internal procedural requirements in line with Verizon policies and legislation pertaining to respective countries where investigations are undertaken.

  • Working with Legal and Internal Audit on identified process failings and policy breaches.

  • Investigation of internal fraud and external fraud affecting the business as well as other criminal acts affecting the business.

  • Working with Law Enforcement on investigations involving criminal attacks against the business.

  • Production of timely fact-based reports of the highest quality, together with supporting evidential materials for related disciplinary, compliance actions or litigation.

  • Actively promote the international investigations function to other areas of the business including through the provision of investigative support to stakeholders such as HR, Legal, Office of Ethics and Business Conduct.

  • Working with Stakeholders to develop strategies to mitigate legal, reputational and financial risk to the business from threats posed by fraud, bribery and corruption.

  • Develop and build strong contacts with internal stakeholders, external Law Enforcement Agencies and with counterparts within the telecommunications industry.

  • Undertake or assist with such other duties as may be assigned from time to time including the performance of duties outside normal working hours.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Relevant work experience.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Fluency in English.

Even better to have:

  • Experience of Audit and Compliance.

  • Former Law Enforcement experience in addition to Corporate experience.

  • Fluency in another European language.

  • Corporate investigator within an international corporate environment.

  • Knowledge of GDPR and legislation applicable to investigation practices.

  • Effective skills in investigation techniques and ability to apply good judgement to complex matters.

  • Experience in the use of research methodologies, including open source and use of data-mining solutions.
