What you’ll be doing...

The Project Lead will manage and oversee all Verizon (VZ) transition activities for major customer outsourcing projects. You will be responsible for delivery commitments and resources worldwide to ensure profitability for VZ is achieved, customer satisfaction is met, and global corporate policies are adhered to. Specifics include:

  • Act as senior, POC to the Customer for all project delivery matters.

  • Oversee all VZ Business transition related activities worldwide and across all delivery organizations.

  • Provide regular and proactive customer communications to ensure all customer and stakeholder (internal/external) concerns are addressed readily.

  • Oversee all transition and transformation planning, execution, reporting and related escalation management.

  • Oversee all third party vendor (TPV) support globally, requirements, costs, deliverables and contract statement of work (SOW) performance related to the project.

  • Define and manage project activities to meet VZ goals for financial performance.

  • Develop and manage deliverables to the developed project plan.

  • All processes are documented and efficiently working for the project.

  • Participate and oversee that all relevant governance meetings are held within the contractual framework.

  • Maintain and publish status for all project deliverables in progress.

  • All reports are developed and distributed as required by the contract and developed communication plan.

  • Work with Service Management to ensure first bill review is accurate and in line with contractual and billable project deliverables.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Seven or more years of Project Management experience with proven track record and experience with deploying and delivering complex solutions.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Demonstrated experience with verbal & written communications.

  • Ability to foster relationships and present to C-Levels within the Client Organization.

  • Enterprise Client Experience.

  • Financial Business acumen.

  • ITIL Advanced/Intermediate Certification.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Project

  • Familiarity with Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and WAN/LAN network elements.

  • Experience in Telecom products related to Network, Managed Services, CPE, Security, Applications, Hosted / DCS Services, IT Services, Unified Communications.

  • Proven leadership skills & capabilities.

  • Ability to manage and negotiate a desired business outcome with required internal and external organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.

  • Hands-on experience with Telecommunication/IT Outsourcing.

  • Experience with CA Clarity application.

  • Willingness to travel.
