What you’ll be doing...

You will be a part of the Global Network & Technology Systems Engineering organization focusing on strategic technology evolution including end-to-end detailed engineering, simulation, and analysis of wireless and wireline systems. These systems are typically defined by industry forums and Network Planning for development, deployment and troubleshooting. You will be on the frontlines of next-generation 5G wireless simulation and analysis, impacting how our customers live, work, and play.

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for framework components.
  • Working closely with various teams in designing automation solutions for Life Cycle Management.
  • Working with world-class engineers involved in planning and orchestration of virtualized network functions, software defined networks, Open Stack, Kubernetes and ONAP to ensure emergence of a coherent architectural framework.
  • Providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams in crafting solutions, and describing the impact of the new solution to systems and processes.
  • Maintain the System Engineering Simulation and Analysis Framework through collaboration with internal GN&T organizations and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain System Engineering and Integration Best Practices and Processes.
  • Coordinates System Engineering Simulation and Analysis Framework releases.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, Robot Framework, and Ansible).
  • 2+ years of experience in developing software and / or deploying enterprise applications.
  • Development experience in a majority of the following areas: OpenStack, Kubernetes, ETSI and 3GPP (5G) Standards.
  • Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap.
  • Familiarity with Programming / Scripting languages (Python, Java, Perl, C#, C++).
  • Experience with Wireless and Core Networks, Virtualization and SDN technologies.
  • Knowledge of major telecommunication ecosystem partners.
  • Familiarity with LTE, 5GNR, VoIP, WiFi, wireless protocols, wireless standards and Linux.
  • Experience in diagnostic and simulation applications (e.g. Wireshark, Matlab, OPNET, NS-3, etc.).
  • Understanding of SW development processes and maintenance best practices including the Agile Methodology.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach.
  • The ability to work on a team and collaborate effectively.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
