What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be using your technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive penetration of Verizon’s PTT, Networking, and Emerging Technologies into VBG customers, primarily in the Energy and Utility verticals. Your role will involve identifying customer sales opportunities, conducting needs analyses, designing and developing solutions, and managing solutions through the implementation lifecycle. You will also work closely with partners from across the business to identify additional sales opportunities that most efficiently meet client needs. Responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Driving account penetration by leveraging new and existing products and services, and collaborating with the sales teams at every level of the organization.
  • Managing the product lifecycles by leveraging relationships established with customers to implement long term strategies for implementation and product enhancement.
  • Translating customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements.
  • Participating and presenting in executive briefings and direct customer-facing engagements with C-level audiences.
  • Designing high-value machine-to-machine and IoT solutions.
  • Strategic analysis and comparison of competitive network security products and services.
  • Wireless network evolution and trends including but not limited to CDMA transition, 4G LTE-A/U, and 5G.
  • Resolving failures and malfunctions by troubleshooting networks, systems, and applications.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of IoT sales and implementation experience
  • Three or more years of sales and implementation of PTT and Land Mobile Radio systems experience.
  • Knowledge of VZW Systems related to business sales.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • A degree.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven project management experience of long term, large scope projects.
  • Strong financial analysis experience (e.g., P&L, ROI, cost analysis, business case development).
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to analyze and develop processes, methods, and procedures.
  • Ability to support and facilitate the development of others’ knowledge and skills, providing timely feedback and guidance to help reach goals.
  • Ability to present ideas and complex information effectively to individuals, or groups, with short time frame for preparation.
  • Ability to identify and escalate potential issues as well as implement recommended solutions.
  • Ability to establish measurement and feedback systems.
