What you’ll be doing...

The Business Transformation Manager (BTM) will work on a variety of strategic and transformative initiatives for the Verizon Consumer Group. The BTM will work with cross-functional leadership in organizations such as Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and IT to execute, manage, and track initiatives aimed at achieving financial and customer experience objectives that prepare the business for future.

The BTM will get to frame initiatives, their scope, and strategies. In this process, the BTM will interact with senior leaders and will have an integral role in executing recommendations with teams drawn from the Business Transformation group and the business and functional units.

Responsibilities:

  • Working largely with our Supply Chain team as well as key initiative work that impacts Devices and Equipment Subsidy.
  • Lead concept, define scope, and execute on strategic and operational business transformation initiatives, ranging from corporate and operational strategy to process improvement.
  • Provide proactive and engaged leadership on key initiatives to increase revenue, reduce expenses, enhance business efficiency, and improve customer experience.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology to find root causes, eliminate problems, remove waste/inefficiency, and improve customer experience and value to customers.
  • Be an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques to collaborate and influence.
  • Understand and analyze various drivers impacting key metrics and outcomes to prove or disprove the hypothesis and provide fact-based recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Be a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.
  • Facilitate team meetings and cross-functional workshops.
  • Work with the Director of Business Transformation, and business unit leaders, to provide effective leadership for the initiatives under analysis and execution.
  • Provide updates to senior leadership and functional unit management regarding project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
  • Support others by providing real-time coaching on business transformation and process improvement methodologies and tools.

You are a strategic thinker that contributes new ideas that drive the business forward.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A Degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or related technical or science-based discipline.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience in telecom or related industries.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Marketing, Strategy, Customer Experience or a Business Transformation like function of a high-tech, media, cable, or telecom company.
  • Experience working in a tier-1 management consulting organization, especially supporting clients in high-tech, media, cable, or telecom industries.
  • Ability to take quick action while also being thorough, have command of details and facts, build relationships across the business, and feed your curiosity.
  • Presentation skills, including the ability to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, and use Microsoft Excel effectively to develop models and drive analyses.
  • Operational experiences with process and analytical discipline to characterize current / future state opportunities, along with data and financial skills to analytically illuminate potential.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.
  • Experience leading a team with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving skills.
