What you’ll be doing...

As a Service Asset Manager you’ll work as part of a change team aligned to a dedicated customer with responsibilities for administrative activities relating to change requests, in addition maintenance of Asset and Configurations information. You’ll work ensure the successful completion of Requests for Change (RFC), while also supporting the change manager in identifying change controls or process improvements. You’ll partner with the customer’s Asset and Configuration organization and Internal Service Management, Engineering, and Project teams in the delivery of a best in class customer experience. Other responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Accepting and recording all request for changes.
  • Reviewing RFC to determine the appropriate Verizon person or group responsible for responding to the customer and/or executing the change.
  • Managing your assigned RFC ensuring its progress achieves each change process milestones.
  • Updating asset and inventory details in customer and/or Verizon change management database (CMDB).
  • Producing Asset and Inventory reporting on a monthly basis or as requested.
  • Partnering with customer or internal Verizon teams to drive improvements to CMDB data quality.
  • Supporting the change manager in continual improvement initiatives and during periods of absence.

You’ll need to have...

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Previous work experience in change management or service management.
  • Previous experience working with dedicated customers.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).

  • The ability to interface and work with the customer engineering team.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g., Service Now, Remedy).
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel.
  • Technical knowledge to effectively facilitate associated discussions (e.g., MPLS, LAN, Managed Services).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • A customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A structured work approach.
