What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a market research manager to lead insights for the Net Promoter Score (NPS) customer satisfaction program. The Customer and Marketplace Insights team is responsible for conducting customer and marketplace research to deliver impactful insights that drive Verizon’s strategies, business decisions and overall competitive advantage. We are a team of professionals in areas like qualitative studies, quantitative surveys, research and statistical analysis, visualization, ideation/innovation work, insight communication, analytical tool development, text analytics, tracking and monitoring tools, serving as a centralized center of excellence for insights across Verizon’s consumer operations.

This role requires a self-starter with the ability to understand the market and business context, synthesize all relevant information, and tell a compelling story that leads to actionable recommendations.

  • Synthesize data from multiple sources and translate findings into actionable consumer insights and recommendations.

  • Define and answer the right questions to resolve business problems as well as identify business opportunities effectively and efficiently.

  • Align data and insights across internal and external survey sources, leading corporate wide goal setting, and managing new customer satisfaction programs for growing markets and with partners.

  • Partner, consult and collaborate with leaders of each Line of Business to identify and address key business issues and provide actionable consumer insights that drive Verizon's competitive advantage.

  • Manage research agencies and work-flow to ensure quality and accuracy, cost efficiency, and timely completion of projects.

  • Contribute to a culture of innovation by finding new and better ways of doing things: identifying, creating and employing innovative research and operational approaches.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience with transactional and survey data related to customer satisfaction, brand tracking, and/or Voice of Customer (VOC).

  • Experience pulling, manipulating and tabulating data from a SQL environment using SAS or SPSS.

  • Experience in corporate marketing or advertising/media agency or market research firm.

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, SPSS or SAS and SQL.

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • MS/MMR in Statistics, Mathematics, Research, Psychology or related fields.

  • Multivariate skills.

  • Knowledge of marketing departments, teamwork in a cross-functional and/or matrix organization and/or national/regional structure.

  • Knowledge and use of advertising and brand tracking, business KPI metrics.

  • Familiarity with social media and other online/digital media including digital advertising and digital customer experiences.

  • Familiarity with Tableau.
