What you’ll be doing...

As a Public Sector Deal Pursuit Leader you will drive sales processes and outcomes on a dedicated basis for major managed services and outsourced deals, growing a profitable pipeline, and closing major deals with a valuation of twenty five million dollars to three hundred million dollars, through deal origination, sales negotiations, and closure.

  • Setting the deal direction and managing the deliverance of the assigned pursuit roles, achieving order, revenue, and deal margin and cost objectives.
  • Contributing to the firm's growth and development through world class deal creation and management.
  • Leading engagement planning and budgeting.
  • Facilitating buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client.
  • Directing on-time, quality delivery of work products.
  • Managing engagement economics and engagement risk.
  • Managing day-to-day interaction with executive clients and sponsors.
  • Developing and maintaining contact with executive decision makers at key clients.
  • Contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel 51-75%.
  • Experience selling within the public sector industry

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Ten or more years of industry experience in networked IT services / telecoms.
  • Ten or more years of industry experience in networked IT services / telecoms with both domestic and international responsibilities and of twenty five million dollars or more annual revenue/cost responsibilities.
  • Extensive outsourcing / out-tasking /off shoring experience as the lead executive for the end-user, or services supplier, or both, involving multi-country requirements.
  • Experience in outsourcing / out-tasking /off shoring as the lead executive for the end-user or services supplier (or both) involving multi-country requirements.
  • Led and closed at least one complex network integration deal with TCV of twenty-five million dollars or more, involving at least two or more of: people /asset transfer, contract novation, partner services, and multi-country requirements; and/or led, implemented and operationally managed similar transactions as the end-user.
  • First-degree qualified, and/or relevant chartered institute member, and /or industry recognized accreditations.
  • Line / matrix management experience of significant (thirty or more) multi-function teams.
  • Experienced and credible in successfully working with, and presenting up to executive board level in major publicly traded organizations.
  • Lead/second chair business case development and subsequent commercial contracting/negotiating expertise gained in the above environments.
