What you’ll be doing...

The Digital Marketing COE team at Verizon is hiring an SEO Strategist to play a key role in creating comprehensive online marketing strategies. In this role, you will support an omni-channel strategy, execution, and analysis via SEO best practices and innovation. We are looking for a passionate search marketer with experience in technical SEO, content strategy, and data-driven marketing. You will actively contribute to our search strategy knowledge base as a subject matter expert, managing large-scale campaigns and projects for our consumer and business web properties. We expect you to come with hands-on experience with complex site architectures, and the benefits of thinking about SEO and SEM holistically.

  • Supporting cohesive, compelling SEO strategies that guide the development & content processes.
  • Serving as a trusted consultant, practitioner, and advocate for the SEO discipline.
  • Communicating strategic visions to internal stakeholders and partnering across business units (Marketing, IT, Consumer Insights).
  • Establishing and promote SEO guidelines, best practices and standards across business units.
  • Collaborating closely with the Operations and Design teams to ensure SEO requirements are deeply integrated into applications.
  • Maintaining expert level understanding of latest industry trends, guidelines, and algorithm changes.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Marketer / agency / consultative services experience in SEO.
  • Knowledge of technical SEO principles, onsite and offsite techniques.
  • Experience communicating the value that SEO, Branding, Content, and IA has on KPIs and business drivers.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Experience analyzing data, monitoring campaigns for improvements, and ensuring campaign goals are being fully met.
  • Willingness to travel to NJ office minimally.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of paid, owned, and earned media landscape (PPC, Display, Affiliates, Social, PR, Mobile, Native, etc.) including search engine algorithms and search engine user behavior.
  • Experience in relevant web design principles, UX/CX best practices.
  • Accomplished in search analysis and reporting.
  • Data visualization experience.
  • Experience with data-driven targeting and reach strategy.
  • Knowledge of tech stacks, buying tools, and analytics tools etc.
  • Experience leveraging data as a guide for strategy and decision making.
  • Experience with managing the execution of search campaigns.
  • Ability to rapidly build on new businesses and industry verticals.
