What you’ll be doing...

Visible is launching a business initiative with the purpose of driving member growth by creating a sales force that engages customers online and in-market. With this new program, Visible has identified the need for a Sales Experience Communications manager to allow us to develop, iterate and execute communication campaigns to provide a great sales experience and funnel follow up.

As a Sales Experience Communications Manager, you will work with the Member Communications Lead and Sales Operations to deliver world-class communications—notifications, nudges, engagement—to a large and growing base of customers and prospects for the Visible brand; you’ll leverage email, SMS and push notification. You will move adeptly between ownership of strategic projects and operation of the nuts-and-bolts of our martech stack (campaign buildout, tracking, documentation, etc.). You will own the sales & customer experience as it bears on outbound touches—from initial sales team interaction through customer onboarding and activation. Though we leverage email, SMS, and app-push, this is much more than an email-marketing job or a batch-and-blast operation; we seek a candidate who has managed full customer lifecycles (ideally in a subscription business) and triggered-message infrastructure.

  • Execute swiftly and accurately: build assets, including SQL queries, HTML emails, AMPscript, Marketing Cloud orchestrations (journeys, automations, file transfers) and SurveyMonkey surveys.

  • Partner with other teams to stay abreast of an ever-changing end-to-end user flow; suggest and execute changes & optimizations to the triggered messaging stream.

  • Serve other teams to deliver customer messaging they need – especially Sales Ambassadors, Brand Ambassadors, Product, Product Marketing, Events, Brand, Care.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize the sales experience flow, and user onboarding experience through customized campaigns.

  • Manage the sales lead pipeline strategy.

  • Build out customer relationships and campaigns based on customer need trends – imagine, build and measure new campaigns and user flows.

  • Influence product managers, engineers and other resources to get your projects/functionality prioritized and built.

  • Maintain robust reporting/performance dashboards.

  • Present performance and insights both electronically and IRL to a large, diverse and demanding internal audience.

  • Master our marketing technology stack, especially Salesforce Marketing & Sales Cloud, Swrve and BigQuery; continuously evaluate new, emerging technologies to keep us state-of-the-art.

  • Leave a paper trail –document with rigor all campaigns, processes, system/database behaviors.

This position can be located in any valid Verizon/Visible domestic locations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in marketing automation and lifecycle/trigger build outs.

  • Experience with relational databases and SQL queries; derive spot-on lists of recipients for CRM campaigns.

  • Knowledge of email-delivery infrastructure and how to measure and optimize sender score and inbox placement.

  • Three or more years executing marketing automation campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Must have Journey Builder experience.

  • Three or more years of experience writing SQL to build targeted audience lists.

  • Two or more years of experience building campaigns for mobile marketing – push notifications and text messaging.

  • Two or more years of experience with reporting and analysis, including demonstrated examples of using SQL and Excel/pivot tables to glean insights from data.

  • Experience with sales funnel management.

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Command of English-language grammar, spelling and style –and ability to manifest brand voice in writing.

  • Experience writing copy.

  • Experience using Return Path.

  • Experience using Connector between Salesforce Service Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Sales Cloud.

  • Experience using Trello, Confluence and Jira.

  • Experience with best-in-class systems and tools for client-facing success.

  • Strong technical orientation, with experience on working cross functional teams and programs.
