What you’ll be doing...

The Corporate Systems Group (CSG) Core PMO team is responsible for strategy and management of portfolio intake and governance processes, as well as systems solutions that support ERP (Enterprise Resource Platform) and other applications for Finance, Accounting, AP, and Payroll. This position will report to the Director of Core PMO.

The Portfolio Operations Manager is responsible for the governance and management of CSG’s portfolio framework and processes. They act as a central point of contact in leading and coordinating activities, decisions and change management for demand intake, prioritization and financial oversight of CSG’s annual capital budget across multiple internal and external stakeholder teams (Finance, HR, Global Supply Chain and various others). You will have direct responsibility for the Portfolio Operations team, including cost & budget, team/people/skill development, performance review and target setting/achievement.

  • Monitoring and approving deliverables pursuant to third-party agreements, such as statements of work (SOW) which support the Portfolio Operations team.

  • Leads process management and governance, and acts as central point of contact for demand intake and portfolio framework in the Corporate Systems Group (CSG).

  • Provides strategy and guidance to the overarching Portfolio Owner, the Consultant and Administrator team, and the business stakeholder group of Portfolio Managers in respect of portfolio health and the prioritization/governance process.

  • Leads coordination of annual capital planning roadmap sessions for managed portfolios.

  • Prepares and provides input to and/or presents at various Executive level forums, reporting or planning meetings relating to portfolio performance and prioritization, in conjunction with stakeholder teams and company-wide (annual) activities.

  • Monitors work performance and portfolio health by managing quality analysis, and escalating timeline concerns in a timely manner.

  • Manages CSG’s capital performance and provides analysis, trade-offs, and risk impacts.

  • Drives and participates in flexible collaboration, complex solution/consensus development and assuming the role of central point of contact for multiple internal and external teams.

  • Manages processes, systems, and methodologies for the CSG community in collaboration with the PMO to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet customer specifications.

  • Works with internal teams and key stakeholders in the business, CSG and across Global Technology Solutions (GTS) to mature and proliferate the existing Finance portfolio governance framework and processes, leading the implementation and execution of CSG’s 1Portfolio effort.

  • Create and manage the strategy and roadmap for launching portfolio framework across other business areas supported by CSG.

  • Identifies, develops and leads implementation of process improvements and portfolio standards, including reporting and digitization through best in class portfolio tools and systems.

  • Develops and presents status and impact communications to affected stakeholders (from project to executive sponsors) in relation to portfolio framework and processes.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology or Project Management related field or four or more years work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with portfolio management, financial planning and governance methodologies, specifically in a program/project management capacity.

  • Experience managing programs, projects, and issues with a sense of urgency, commitment to quality, and unwavering customer focus.

  • Willingness to travel upto 25%.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field.

  • Ability to sustain big picture and delivery focus in a high volume and changing environment with prioritization and time management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication and organizational skills and the ability to create effective content (reporting, slides, etc.), deliver and present to across levels (executive to analyst).

  • Ability to complete concurrent complex projects without considerable direction.

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Technology, Project Management or related.

  • Team leadership background with direct supervisory experience.

  • Understanding of Finance, HR, Supply Chain or other pertinent business processes and systems.

  • Scrum Master experience.

  • Advanced skills and/or certification within a project management discipline such as PMP, Six Sigma, etc.

  • Excellent risk analysis, risk avoidance and risk mitigation skills with proactive problem-solving and communication skills.
