What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a technical product manager to drive business development for the Condition Based Maintenance Product line. Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) is an Industrial IoT platform that helps industrial OEMs capture, visualize and act on data collected from industrial equipment to provide proactive maintenance and drive new service revenue. CBM also supports remote management and monitoring of hardware and applications via edge gateways and embedded PCs, creating a logical pathway to Verizon MEC & 5G offerings that may be available in the future.

You will have a variety of responsibilities including: developing and maintaining business relationships and designing policies which allow partnerships to thrive; identifying opportunities for new CBM customers; strengthening existing relationships and collaborations; attending workshops; building professional networks; developing and executing business plans for strategic growth; conducting market research; synthesizing reports of business metrics; and attending meetings to serve as representatives of their organizations. As a trusted adviser to our partners and customers, you will help develop business plans aligned to shared business goals. Build deep, consultative relationships with partners and contacts to understand customer/partner high-level business objectives and match these to solutions to satisfy both the business and technical requirements of the partner practice and the customer challenges.

You will represent Verizon Condition Based Maintenance with responsibilities to provide our partners’ support in order generate sales revenue and related contracts. You will engage with partners’ sales representatives in prospecting, qualifying and identifying sound business prospects interested in purchasing our Condition Based Maintenance Platform as a Service through our partner and resellers along with working closely with partner management to grow the business.

  • Wins, maintains, expands relationships and helps close CBM deals.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and training and be the Condition Based Maintenance subject matter expert the customers and partner’s interface with.

  • Increasing Company revenue by managing successful customer campaigns with our partners’ prospects and/or customers.

  • Assist in partner Request for Proposal (RFP) responses for ensuring support as needed.

  • Provide up-to date sales, marketing, forecast and competitive information to leadership.

  • Employee Performance Agreement development and management for IoT Solutions Product Managers

  • Employee development planning and management for IoT Solutions Product Managers

  • Act as lead person to demonstrate new technologies and results with Verizon Sr. Leadership

  • Present Asset Tracking and Management IoT Solutions during product reviews and PRT sessions when needed.

  • Act as business development overlay with Emerging Technology Consultant and field sales teams

  • Ideate and develop business cases for new IoT products and identify new partners, negotiate third party contracts.

  • Manage Verizon vendors to deliver and support strategic product.

  • Develop sales distribution plans and conduct ongoing sales and support training for Verizon Business Group Sales

  • Develop five-year product forecast in partnership with Product Finance team and formulate product revenue forecasting

  • Work with product managers and leadership on funnel management and 3rd parties to manage hardware.

  • Conduct product feature request sessions with VBG sales organizations

  • Create business case to define product enhancement effort level and incremental revenue opportunity

You have technical aptitude and are able to show knowledge of the product.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Good experience in web-services based solutions delivery and/or engineering roles.

  • Good understanding of wireless technology, Linux administration and Bash command line tools, LAN/WAN networking and TCP/IP protocols.

  • Experience in Web services integration – SOAP and ReST and Network and application security services (PKI, TLS, Firewall/ACL, SSH).

  • Strong business process development skills, client facing and relationship management skillsStrong verbal and written communications skills.

  • technical skills and the ability to work well with key partner technical resources.

  • Good cloud-based PaaS solution delivery & management experience.

  • Ability to balance and drive multiple simultaneous accounts to success.

  • M2M/IoT (oneM2M) knowledge and experience.

  • 3GPP LTE knowledge and experience.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Knowledge of Google Docs.

  • Basic SalesForce.com skills.
