What you’ll be doing...

This role is a technical marketing expert for Verizon’s instance of the Adobe Experience Cloud (Campaign Classic, Experience Manager, Experience Platform, & Target). You will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing support of technology solutions that enable complex multi-vehicle campaigns.You’ll be the technology liaison and expert between the platforms, Verizon’s Adobe Center of Excellence and various other groups within the consumer communications ecosystem.

In this role, you’ll manage all technology requirements related to campaign development & deployment – including the strategic, tactical and support functions (creative, technology, and analytics) across a variety of customer touchpoints (email, SMS, Push Messaging, In-app Messaging, Direct Mail,Personalized Videos, etc.). Your key objective is to leverage marketing technology to enable, automate & optimize programs that drive business performance.

  • Consult and make recommendations with respect to technical implementation.

  • Understand data specifications to ensure required data is available.

  • Add external data sources to existing schemas as required.

  • Perform product configuration and automate data delivery & program execution.

  • Perform API configurations for triggered campaigns.

  • Perform extensive testing and create queries to extract & validate data.

  • Develop appropriate quality assurance standards, methods, or procedures to ensure overall product quality and/or release readiness.

  • Manage vendor implementations of technical projects and support of platform.

  • Evaluate new methodologies and technologies and make recommendations for the improvement of business processes.

  • Lead development of design & standards for content reuse across programs & mediums.

  • Leverage Verizon’s North Star architecture to deliver highly personalized and relevant messaging across all touchpoints.

  • Enable omni-channel orchestration of messaging across lifecycle, behavioral & transaction-initiated triggers.

  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness of communications through extensive automation, optimization platforms, and AI/ML integration.

  • Coordinate with internal team members, agency and vendors to ensure on-time and accurate completion of projects.

  • Serve as operational expert for platform deployments.

  • Develop complex, rules-based, multi-step customer communications programs.

  • Ensure proper HTML presentation and the quality of all outbound campaigns.

  • Oversee overall program planning and deployments within the toolset, to include but not limited to: data management (SQL and ETL), content building, audience definition, campaign execution, deliverability & results analysis, campaign taxonomy and metadata management.

  • Maintain high deliverability standards and work with deliverability vendors to ensure IP addresses and domains allow for uninterrupted delivery of email communications.

  • Design / implement A vs. B testing, multi-variant tests, and content optimization techniques to rapidly determine best messaging strategies.

  • Design and deploy journey maps, create automated marketing schemas, and design cross-vehicle workflows that consider customer preferences, campaign objectives and suitability of individual vehicles to a specific campaign.

What we’re looking for...

You have detailed knowledge of the Adobe Experience Cloud and be a technical expert with a proven ability to solve problems. You are able to translate the vision to non-technical members of the team and/or executive leaders.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience building marketing workflows with single and multiple data sources.

  • Experience with commercial marketing clouds (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Responsys, etc.).

  • Experience using commercial decisioning platforms (Pega, etc.).

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A Degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related IT or visual arts field.

  • Proficiency in technical scripting languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RPL, Python).

  • Demonstrated technical experience in Adobe Experience Manager.

  • Knowledge of Teradata SQL.

  • Experience balancing multiple projects, prioritizing responsibilities and meeting deadlines.

  • Experience as a team player and working across multiple teams to support varied business objectives.

  • Technical proficiency with a “Tier 1” commercial email deployment platform.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical, research and organization skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
