What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Lead Engineer role is responsible for supporting global network and security solutions of large enterprise customers within the Global Service Assurance department.

  • Supporting the 24/7 shift teams by acting as the next level technical escalation point - taking ownership of escalated incidents and utilizing expertise to drive them to resolution. Supporting other lead engineers.

  • Investigating and resolving chronic faults impacting managed customer services.

  • Providing direct advanced technical support to assigned customers (change/configuration management).

  • Building expert knowledge over the assigned customer’s network design, usage and configuration.

  • Developing personal relations with the assigned customer’s representatives, providing positive and professional customer experience.

  • Take the lead or participate in projects related to repair activities, including processes, tools and product development.

  • Provide technical support, mentoring and guidance to less experienced colleagues.

What we’re looking for...

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you have expert-level network engineering knowledge and you are proactively using them not only to investigate and resolve problems, but also to coach and mentor lower-tier support personnel. You are not afraid to take ownership of a case, collaborate with other teams and drive it into resolution. You know how to build a relationship with a customer, understand their needs and meet their expectations.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

  • Network engineering experience in a global service provider environment or within a large-scale customer network.

  • Fluency in English – both written and verbal.

  • CCNP certification (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or relevant experience

Even better if you have:

  • Knowledge of VBG products (IPded, PIP, SGSO, MLAN/MWLAN, Cloud services, ...)

  • Experience with managing a large, complex customer network environment.

  • Project management experience.

  • ITIL foundation knowledge or certification.

  • SD-WAN experience

  • VNS experience

  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper hardware (routers, switches) and experience with other networking equipment (WAAS, wireless, modems, 4G/LTE, ...).

  • Experience with network technologies & protocols, including MPLS, TCP/IP (IPv4, IPv6), ACLs, IPSec, BGP, QoS, FHRPs.

  • Experience with network management protocols, including SNMP, NTP, Syslog.

  • Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts/solutions and Virtualization technologies.

  • At least basic network automation and scripting experience (Bash, Python, Perl).

  • Experience with UNIX systems and OpenStack administration.
