What you’ll be doing...

The Advanced Communication Product Manager is responsible for scoping, defining and delivering a leading edge Advanced Comms customer solutions that bring to the market an intuitive experience across the Advanced Comms product suite for the Public Sector customer. This role involves applying innovative thinking to delivering a cross-product solution for existing Centrex, UCCaaS and Conferencing applications, as well as identifying ways to improve the way the current product is delivered and supported. You will also drive effective interaction across organizational boundaries, including product development, Operations and Engineering, Marketing, Support, Finance and IT to deliver an exceptional experience for our customer base.

Product Life Cycle Responsibility across the Advanced Comms suite of services for Public Sector (OneTalk, VCE, BlueJeans, Unified Comms, Conferencing and supporting Portals) to identify, define and deliver process improvements that deliver service optimization across the portfolio.

  • Creating a transformation plan and new offers to defend Centrex which minimize churn risk while maximizing new opportunities, close gaps in our existing product set (aligning to products to the contracts requirements) and Meet compliance requirements.
  • Identifying gaps in the current customer experience based upon direct and indirect customer feedback and work to resolve and improve through service optimization.
  • Driving changes in process & mindset around how we organize work and deliver functionality for customers, maintaining "good" processes and eliminating inefficiencies whilst maintaining excellent operational assurance.
  • Creating a unique product story for Verizon with purposeful integration with other Verizon products (BlueJeans, Managed Microsoft , CX, SIP Trunks…) and differentiated solutions from other providers.
  • Maintaining overall ownership of any customer facing portals (e/my meetings, VEC) and ensure they are kept current and maintained to drive customer traction and customer compliance.
  • Developing and driving overall strategy, ensuring Verizon’s ability to execute a smooth evolution from the legacy offers to the new solutions.
  • Maintaining overall ownership of product compliance requirements including FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, IL5/6 etc.
  • Ensuring delivery of the Advanced Comms service always maintains the highest levels of functional quality and customer ease-of-use.
  • Working with the other Product Managers and Marketing teams to ensure collateral, demo capabilities, sales team tools and other key supporting user documents/interfaces are up to date and current and will drive uptake and usage.
  • Maintaining a Public Sector view of the customer experience, taking into account needs from Federal Civilian, Federal Defense, State and Local government and K-12 and higher education customers.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in understanding of technology in the Advanced Comms space.
  • Experience in Cloud technology.

  • Knowledge of CSP market and Conferencing trends.
  • Proven capability in a customer-driven technology organization.
  • Proven skills in complex, matrixed organizations, leading through influence and direct authority across intact teams and larger organizations.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong organizational and personnel diplomacy skills, including proven track record growing and building innovative offerings that drive growth.
  • Proven ability to work in and create an environment that fosters learning, teaching, growth, risk-taking and innovation.

  • Computer and numeracy skills.
