What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Cyber Security consultant will be knowledgeable on the services listed below in order to provide technical support and technical assistance to the Customer’s client Projects (e.g. Defense Force Recruiting and Right Management).

Working as a key Senior Advisor for all cyber security related matters, the consultant will ensure risk management, government and client compliance is attained and enhanced. You will oversee and support all Customers’ ICT and digital providers from a cyber-risk, vulnerability management, patch management and compliance perspective. You will ensure the Customer, their clients and System Owners are fully aware of the risk position of the ICT and Cyber services and will drive an agenda of continual improvement for ICT related security and risk management capabilities.

  • Managing the implementation of ICT and Cyber security measures.

  • Monitoring information security for systems and responding to any cyber security incidents.

  • Identifying and incorporating appropriate security measures in the development of ICT projects and the information security program.

  • Assisting the CSO/CISO or equivalent to develop security budget projections and resource allocations.

  • Guiding the selection of appropriate strategies to achieve the direction set by the system owner,CSO/CISO or equivalent.

  • Working with the client to manage service providers Defense Security and ICT Policy positions, including meeting the requirements of the PSPF, ISM and DSPF.

  • Participating in the Security Governance Committee and be required to provide expert advice verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization.

  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise for training and development for Customer Group, client and stakeholder staff in ICT security awareness.

  • Monitoring CIOG/ASD/ACSC/DSOC cyber briefings and reporting channels/meetings and attend relevantDefense Industry briefings in order to as informed as possible about the cyber threat environment.

  • Act as a local CSO for Customer Group across all Defense accounts.

  • Providing advice as required to Customer Groups MD and COO, DRS DFR and GM Right Management to ensure cyber posture remains at best practice.

  • Providing cyber advice as necessary to the Defense delegate for assigned environments.

  • Liaising with Customer Group’s other cyber roles such as Asia Pacific RISO, and global CISO and provide required reporting and if necessary response to incidents.

  • Leveraging Customer Group’s global cyber capability and knowledge for the benefit of DFR and Right Management.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • NV1 Security Clearance.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information technology.

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and run a customer meeting with global partners.

  • Six or more years of experience in security knowledge or skills (Penetration testing, GRC practice, security device implementation, audit, assessment).

  • Demonstrated organizational skills such as project management experience.

  • Experience leading a project team of three or more providing security related service to the customer.

  • Related skills/certifications: CISSP, PCI QSA, CISA, CISM.
