What you’ll be doing...

The Decisioning Team within the Verizon Business Group is responsible for managing Next Best Offer and Next Best Action for both assisted (call center) and unassisted (digital/marketing) for all customer segments. This team is responsible for ensuring the right offer and right next action is delivered to the customer, creating a customized set of solutions. This role will be critical to ensure the best solution is presented to the customer based on internal and external data, models, and develop the logic for customized solutions leveraging the Pega Solutions platform. As a new team within the Marketing Science and Lifecycle Management group, this role is high profile in delivering a solution that impacts every business customer for VBG.

  • Identifying the logic and adaptive modeling optimization to create the most effective customized customer solution for each business use case.
  • Pega Lead Decision Architect will collaborate with service and technology application teams to understand the business requirement, the business processes, and convert the business processes to Pega system flows.
  • Responsible for design of the core decisioning logic for real time marketing decisioning platform based on business requirements.
  • Assess decisioning platform capabilities, and create a roadmap for expansion to enable seamless omni-channel experience and personalized in-context customer interactions.
  • Oversee the delivery of decisioning enhancement roadmap applying appropriate industry standards.
  • Design and configure rules, flows and testing approach to enable the user experience and process flow.
  • Communicate technical concepts, problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Driving multiple technical, analytic and data-related projects of varying scopes and complexities to create the right customer solutions.
  • Working with other business units within Verizon, vendors, and executives to represent and drive our organization's strategy.
  • Using data visualization and other data-gathering methods to either provide internal strategic direction or guide decisions for other teams.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with RTIM solutions, specifically Pega Systems for Decisioning.
  • Experienced in creating models and strategies for offerings within Pega and creating models for multiple frameworks.

Even better if you have:

  • Pega Systems Decisioning Certification
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Analytics/Business Intelligence, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or in a related field; ideally an MBA.
  • Leadership and strategic planning experience.
  • Experience investigating and solving complex technical problems and data discrepancies.
  • Experience working with business intelligence and complex data systems to provide diagnostic self-serve information to clients and business units.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL or equivalent program.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation creation.
  • Experience with carrier-grade router hardware (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Brocade).
  • Business intelligence/visualization software experience (e.g. Tableau, Splunk, or Kibana).
  • Data mining, preparation and modeling experience.
  • Statistical analysis language experience.
  • Data preparation tool experience.
