What you’ll be doing...

As a Sales Engineer, you’ll partner with the sales team to demonstrate the value of the BlueJeans product portfolio to prospective customers and partners. You’ll be instrumental in working closely with the sales team and serve as the technical expert for BlueJeans products.

The primary accountabilities associated with the position include:

  • Acting as a trusted pre-sales technical advisor to client leaders to help influence, shape, and drive deals that result in profitable revenue growth for the company.
  • Partnering with sales representatives to develop and deliver pre-sales product demonstrations, technical presentations, sales proposals, and proof-of-technologies (POC’s).
  • Providing consultative technical expertise to customers regarding BlueJeans product offereings and leveraging existing video-based infrastructure to connect with BlueJeans.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of competing organizations and their products and services as well as emerging trends in the videoconferencing industry.
  • Assisting customers with product comparisons, system requirements, and recommendations.
  • Communicating with internal teams (e.g., engineering and product management) regarding product input, feature enhancements, and new releases.

You’ll need to have…

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of experience with commercial customer solutions.
  • Experience working with SIP and H.323.
  • Willingness to serve as the technology “owner” and “driver” of relevant accounts.
  • Experience contributing to a high-performing sales team and overall organization by meeting and/or exceeding performance quotas and expectations.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Even better if you have…

A degree.

  • Knowledge of video technologies, web-based conferencing, unified communications, and underlying protocols (H.323, SIP).
  • The ability to partner effectively with sales representatives to understand customer requirements.
  • Experience presenting with high-level leaders, including up to the CXO-level.
  • The ability to partner with customers to help them understand how BlueJeans products and solutions can address their technical and business problems, including those they may currently be unaware of.
  • Expert-level knowledge in aligning the company’s capabilities to client businesses and IT priorities and positioning the company effectively relative to competitors.
  • The ability to create both technical and line-of-business/end-user champions of BlueJeans products under consideration.

  • Valid driver’s license.
