What you’ll be doing...

At Verizon, we don’t just wait for the future, we build it. And that is never truer than in our Mobility Media Team. We are shaping the ongoing future of how the Mobility business uses media and consumer connections to drive engagement and growth. We are seeking a media leader to join our passionate team, to help build the future of media for Verizon. You will partner with the Accessories and Mobility Business Units, and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to drive awareness, demand, engagement and ultimately loyal consumption of our products and services.

With a cutting edge roster of connected devices, rich assets, technologies and data at our fingertips, the Mobility Media Team is poised for continued innovation and best in class media activation. As a member of this fast-paced and energetic team, you will be responsible for leading the media strategy and driving the execution of key consumer Accessories initiatives.

We are looking for a smart marketer with strong paid media expertise who is willing to challenge the norms to build and execute the 2021 Accessories Media Strategy. With success, the goal is to bring in five hundred million dollars of incremental revenue for the company through accessories. You will partner with a broad cross-functional set of talented team members and will require the ability to synergize efforts across paid-owned-earned for maximum impact.

  • Leading strategy development and execution for large scale media initiatives that will drive business performance.
  • Acting as the cross-team leader, integrating all aspects of media to define and execute campaigns (Social, Media Analytics, Sponsorship, Experiential, etc.)
  • Aggressively leading the optimization strategies and processing to maximize performance of offers in-market.
  • Constantly exploring and testing tactics and channels to uncover new pockets of demand.
  • Partnering with Analytics to consistently track and report on campaign/channel performance and trends mapped to various levels of the organization.
  • Partnering and collaborating with business, product, and promotion leaders to inform them of the strategic role of media and how it meets business objectives.
  • Partnering with creative and customer experience teams to ensure assets are on-strategy and are built with continuous testing in mind.
  • Leading media agency relationship; driving clear outcomes that result in strong business performance and a high performing team.
  • Leading budget management for Accessories media including campaign allocation, reconciliation and invoice approval.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Media agency or client experience with a direct response capacity and brand awareness.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to either NJ or NYC office.

Even better if you have:

  • Ten or more years of consumer marketing/media experience, with a focus on strategy.
  • Channel agnostic mindset with experience developing national and local campaigns, special emphasis on digital and demand generation.
  • Experience developing data driven media strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams for joint, idea led media plans.
  • Capability to convey complex media concepts to marketing generalists in a digestible way.
  • Knowledge of business strategies and can correlate business outcomes to media actions.
  • Effective project management and execution skills.
  • Strong digital media acumen (knowledge of programmatic, geo and hyper-targeting, retargeting).
  • Knowledge of programmatic and search ecosystem.
  • Experience managing through ambiguity and balancing multiple dynamic priorities.
  • Influential storytelling skills, both verbally and written.
