What you’ll be doing...

As the Logistics Services Consultant you will define processes and requirements that support new products, 5G integration, and distribution center (DC) diversification through analysis of operational metrics and decision making activities to maintain operational integrity and meet customer expectations. You will execute launch planning activities, plan order drops and operational input to build volume forecasts, collaborate with cross functional teams in building strategies to achieve a successful launch and meet all customer expectations. You will need to understand the complexities of work streams to identify operational and systematic impacts/gaps for new product launches as well as 5G integration and DC diversification.

You will coordinate with the planning teams on inbound volumes, collaborate with the warehouse operations team on capacity and timing, and communicate to the 3PL’s the final drop plan to ensure flawless execution. You will be responsible for the coordination and execution of the plan and determine the appropriate requirements and actions needed to onboard a new vendor.

  • Lead the preorder and backorder projects to align with the systems and business teams.
  • Integrate 5G processes into the 3PL providers and Provide leadership with 5G roadmap for warehouse integration.
  • Support pre-order and backorder management functions.
  • Communicate and coordinate with our 3PL partners and Device Marketing to develop a preorder/backorder drop plan.
  • Ensure 3PL partners are aligned to the drop plan and can execute processing volumes.
  • Manage vendor relations including product and label testing for new items.
  • Liaison with CORE/CARE groups to communicate preorder/backorders misses and the necessary communication to the customers.
  • Onboard new vendors and ensure VZ compliance with 3PL requirements.
  • Maintain Vendor scorecards and hold the suppliers accountable to their contractual agreements.
  • Oversee vendor discrepancies and partner with our suppliers on action plans for better customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the B2B team for process improvements and to support Verizon 2.0 alignment.
  • Lead quarterly audits of VZ Warehouse locations to ensure SEC compliance.
  • Coordinate Audit findings with correct business segments to share feedback on results and areas of opportunity.
  • Identify best practices and engage cross functional teams with corrective action plans for issues out of compliance.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with logistics services including operational metrics, vendor compliance, site audits, and drop plans.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid driver's license.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in supply chain management with understanding of CPFR process.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Ability to think outside the box, how to adapt current and new processes to support new initiatives.
  • Strong ability to create management reporting to detail current status and future plans.
  • Desire to improve processes and achieve targets.
  • Extensive device product knowledge.
  • Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills required in order to lead cross functional teams.
