What you’ll be doing...

You will be a part of the Global Network & Technology Systems Engineering organization focusing on strategic technology evolution including end-to-end detailed engineering, simulation, and analysis of wireless and wireline systems. These systems are typically defined by industry forums and Network Planning for development, deployment and troubleshooting. You will be on the frontlines of next-generation 5G wireless simulation and analysis, impacting how our customers live, work, and play.

  • Gathering Simulation and Analysis Framework requirements through working with System Engineering team and other internal GN&T organizations.

  • Defining technical specifications for the Simulation and Analysis Framework through an analysis of the requirements.

  • Building, integrating, and maintaining the System Engineering Simulation and Analysis Framework through collaboration with internal GN&T organizations and external partners.

  • Utilizing CI/CD skills and knowledge to automate build and deployment pipelines.

  • Creating and maintaining System Engineering and Integration Best Practices and Processes.

  • Working with internal and external suppliers to promote architectural and deployment of enterprise grade solutions.

  • Updating and maintaining High-level Framework Architecture.

  • Helping to define the System Engineering operating procedures and their implementation.

  • Coaching and mentoring more junior level team members.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience developing software and / or deploying enterprise applications using DevOps tools and methodology.

  • Experience in Project Management.

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • Knowledge of major telecommunication ecosystem partners.

  • Experience with LTE, 5GNR, IMS, VoLTE, WiFi, wireless protocols, and wireless standards.

  • Experience with cloud computing, multi-threading and efficient server loading for complex applications.

  • Experience with diagnostic and simulation applications / protocols (e.g. Wireshark, Matlab, OPNET, N3, etc.).

  • Work experience or equivalent subject matter expertise across multiple technology areas.

  • Four or more years of experience in developing software and / or deploying enterprise applications using DevOps tools and methodology.

  • Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap.

  • The ability to work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects.

  • Experience utilizing system diagnostics to troubleshoot issues and / or predict performance.

  • Excellent communication and advanced presentation skills.

  • Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach.

  • Experience with Linux, Programming / Scripting languages (Python, Java, Perl, C#, C++).

  • Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.

  • Ability to drive innovation and technology adoption across organizations.

  • Understanding of software development processes and maintenance best practices including the Agile Methodology.

  • Ability to adapt daily to changing technical and business environments.
