What you’ll be doing...

You will be joining Verizon Business Group’s Product Development Organization as a critical member of the Cross Portfolio Support Team. VBG’s Product Development is responsible for the creation and lifecycle management of wireless and wireline products for all segments including Global Enterprise, Business Markets, Public Sector, and Wholesale. The Cross Portfolio team enables and ensures all the critical functions are cared for within the business.

Maybe you are a top-notch visual communicator and information designer – able to transform complex ideas into compelling infographics and executive presentations.

No matter what, in this role, you will help identify, prioritize, structure, and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You may not know all the answers, but you have a proven track record of working through difficult challenges by independently researching potential directions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find solutions. You are an unstoppable force while working through challenges, establishing and improving the organization as you go.

You will work with all levels of management, including executive leadership so strong communication skills are required. In addition, you will work to establish strong partnerships both within the product organization and with our partner organizations such as Finance, Network, IT, Marketing, Sales, and Strategy.

  • Working with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Creating and maintaining executive level presentations for strategy and transformation initiatives, operational, business case development, capital, and go-to-market plans.
  • Developing executive communications for product strategy and revenue generation plans.
  • Prioritizing actionable business improvement initiatives based on analysis of customer, stakeholder, and employee feedback.
  • Project managing of cross-tower organization initiatives and action registers; coordinating resources to achieve project goals.
  • Gathering and analyzing data in order to fulfill regular and ad-hoc requests including executive level escalations.
  • Developing strong collaborative relationships with executive-level staff in order to assess and meet the needs of the business.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field or MBA.
  • Two or more years of wireline/wireless industry experience.
  • Senior executive staff support experience with demonstrable expertise in executive deck creation, delivery, and meeting planning logistics.
  • Project management experience, including experience with cross-functional and/or cross-area projects.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Superior quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a high-energy, dynamic, and sometimes unstructured environment.
  • Ability to effectively relay complex information to others in any level of the business remotely and in person.
  • Experience influencing teams to meet deadlines, while building positive relationships.
  • Ability to understand and navigate the organizational landscape.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, or other document preparation/project management tools.
  • Ability to create highly professional and informative presentations within Verizon brand guidelines.
  • Knowledge of G Suite and Google Drive applications including Gmail, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
  • Ability to work, creatively and collaboratively, under ambiguous conditions.
  • Ability to influence without authority and experience working in a large company.
  • Ability to succinctly and persuasively communicate via slides.
  • In-depth knowledge of Verizon products and services, functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Financial experience including revenue reporting, capital planning, budgeting, or expense allocation.
  • Database creation and implementation experience.
  • Ability to provide simplified data visualization or illustrations on operational data, technical solutions, and complicated business processes.
  • Ability to deliver concise storyline and strategy updates for key senior updates and operational reviews.
  • Experience managing the production of executive communication deliverables that require collaboration across multiple business units and leadership teams.
