What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager for Public Sector Solutions is responsible for driving public sector commercial strategy for a portfolio of products across the Education and Transportation verticals in public sector.You will be responsible for managing the existing portfolio, creating and leading the strategy for the evolution of this portfolio, developing the roadmap for product launches, ensuring the revenue realization against the business case commitments for products in this portfolio and coordination of go to market and lifecycle activities, including the potential decommissioning of products based on market opportunity. The Sr. Manager may be tasked with additional products, projects and tasks related to solutions supporting the public sector and should be open to finding new paths to market, new opportunities to advocate for the solutions in the portfolio and new and changing segments to pursue based on changing market dynamics.

This role includes setting and communicating product strategy, establishing routes to markets/channels, and leading the resulting product management efforts. You will also articulate Public Sector requirements for supporting organizations, drive those requirements through agile product development processes, support commercial releases, and provide post-launch support.

  • Leading a team of high performing product managers to develop an innovative, mission impacting product roadmap, on-time product launches and the successful, revenue-generating deployments of products for public sector customers.
  • Communicating product vision and strategies to varied audiences, including executives and cross functional teams.
  • Engage with customers, sales teams, finance, marketing, technical teams, and other stakeholders to define the requirements and roadmap.
  • Translate customer requirements into product requirements.
  • Drive new development initiatives from project initiation through launch including managing the product development launch process.
  • Own the business execution plan for assigned products and solutions, collaborating with business unit marketing and other teams for delivery of associated revenue and profitability goals.
  • Identifying ongoing opportunities for operational efficiencies to ensure customer satisfaction, continued revenue growth and increased market share.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in public sector vendor ecosystem (Transportation, Traffic Management, Parking, Education - K-12, Higher Ed, Military Training) & use that in key product definitions where applicable.
  • Lead the product management team on Product Plan development, product requirements, customer POCs, customer trials, & use cases working with cross-functional teams across Technology and Product Development, Network,IT, sales, marketing & other teams.
  • Resolving escalated support issues on behalf of customers.

What we’re looking for...

You have experience with developing, managing, or marketing products and services for public sector customers. You have a track record working with technology partners and delivering end to end, managed solutions. You have a strong product development background and demonstrated experience at launching end to end solutions. Broad understanding of the public sector market, transportation industry and needs, education, both K-12 and Higher, as well as corporate and military training are all a strong plus. You also have a strong knowledge of government contracting requirements and best practices.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Better if you have:

  • MS/MBA.
  • Five or moreyears of Product Management experience.
  • Five or moreyears of experience working with public sector customers.
  • Experience managing partner relationships.
  • Broad understanding of public sector contracts, the education technology industry and the transportation industry.
  • Project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion.
  • Strong problem solving capabilities – must be able to identify and escalate potential issues as well as implement recommended solutions.
  • Ability to create use cases with a focus on delivering a quality customer experience
  • Polished written and oral communication skills to reach multiple levels of an organizatio.n.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach.
  • Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.
