What you’ll be doing...
Our network engineering team keeps us ahead of the competition. As an RF Engineer, perform RF network design, planning and optimization activities with the knowledge of 5G, LTE, GSM,CDMA 1x, EVDO and microwave to contribute to network design.
- Perform link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis.
- Utilizing propagation modeling software to develop improved wireless service plans and maximize signal-to-noise performance.
- Analyze equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators.
- Perform site candidate evaluation and site surveys to identify RF equipment location and antenna orientation.
- Verify RF related site engineering drawings, perform site build verification and acceptance.
- Support leasing/zoning teams as subject matter expert at zoning hearings.
- Perform PCI planning, co-channel and adjacent channel interference testing and analysis.
- Work with Regulatory agencies on Spectrum Issues, plan long term frequency planning.
- Ensuring that all regulatory and EME requirements are met and associated information is kept updated provided
- Undertake network performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks.
- Contributing in the development of long-term build plans.

You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
- A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
- Experience in RF design and optimization.
- Experience in RF wireless design engineering for a telecommunications systems.
- Knowledge of mobile radio propagation aspects through working on two of the following technologies, 5G/GSM/LTE/VoLTE.
- Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as 5G/LTE/VoLTE technology.
- Experience in design & optimization of 5G/LTE/VoLTE networks.
- Expert knowledge of propagation modeling software such as Planet EV or Atoll.
- Understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
- Experience with Model Tuning.
- Knowledge of various RF tools such as Mapinfo or post processing software.
- Knowledge of SQL scripting or VB Scripting.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
