What you’ll be doing...

The EngineerIII Spec-Interconnect is responsible for providing technical guidance, project management, and execution for national transport network projects.

  • Transitioning the VzW PSTN network to SIP architecture.
  • Managing of EBH circuit bandwidth.
  • Developing and executing of technical plans to groom and remove legacy TDM circuits.
  • Collaborating across all regions in Verizon to achieve nation transport objectives.

This position can be located in other valid Verizon locations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid driver's license.

Even better of you have:

  • Experience designing, maintaining and documenting network diagrams and layouts.
  • Knowledge of various wireless network technologies including switching, RF, transport and data.
  • Experience with the EBH reporting and SevOne tools.
  • Experience managing capacity on TDM and EBH networks.
  • Knowledge with the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project & Visio.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound technical judgments in a demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of operational concepts of various business groups including Engineering, Network Assurance, HQ and Vendors.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams taking into consideration the goal of the various internal customers.
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendor relationships and/or resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others without conflict and achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $61,800 and $114,800 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
