What you’ll be doing...
As a product profitability Manager you will analyze reports to identify revenue and cost trends. Partner with Product to identify root causes of negative factors, along with potential remedies to correct the underlying issues (50% of time). Develop, validate and enhance product cost models across the Verizon Business Portfolio. Challenge assumptions and identify innovative solutions to reduce direct or indirect cost factors. Lead cost and process reviews to identify and minimize / eliminate inefficiencies in Verizon Business products (30%). Support product rationalization efforts by exploring all solutions available to product, comparing similar or replacement products by margin, revenue opportunities, effort to deliver and marketplace suitability(20%). Partner with other departments to investigate issues - for example, why a product might have both declining revenue and declining margins while the market is growing. Expected to identify root causes with multiple options to resolve, provide supporting analysis to defend these recommendations. These analyses and recommendations would be made in partnership with product owners, finance and other organizations. In this role, the employee would bring both product and financial acumen to challenge / defend assumptions.
