What you’ll be doing...
The Data Center Operations Engineer is responsible for the oversight, budgeting, and planning of all critical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs or arrangements for repairs of all building operating systems on the site. Must be available for after hour emergency calls. Provide support for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment, along with all miscellaneous building systems.You will assist with budget development, monthly reports, and conduct annual reviews.
You willcoordinate with internal/external vendors for all project rollout. Expected to perform their duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled. The engineer works with the team to troubleshoot, upgrade, and administer multiple systems. You will coordinate and oversee all equipment installations and upgrades and will also be responsible for the oversight and management of building floor plans and people space allocations, electrical switch gear, UPS systems, chillers, generators, HVAC systems, back up battery power, and other equipment associated with data centers.
What we’re looking for...
You are conversant with the maintenance and upkeep of industrial buildings in areas such as:mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. Additionally, you have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security systems to ensure proper operations andthe abilityto act upon any conditions that are out of the ordinary.
