What you’ll be doing...

Pricing and Contract Management is responsible for commercial analysis and approval of complex solution pricing in response to customer bids, as well as general pricing support to the Sales teams in pursuit of revenue growth in standard solutions both with existing customers and new acquisitions. Additionally, you’ll be involved in ad-hoc commercial analysis relating to more strategic issues such as product performance and price positioning.

Responsibility

  • Drafting commercial and contractual solutions with design teams, operational stakeholders, and Legal and seeking commercial approvals.

  • Participating in large bid/RFP activity, helping to validate solutions and customer requirements from a commercial perspective, as well as providing guidance to Sales on the approach to contracting and commercial approvals.

  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and contingency.

  • Jointly attending customer solution meetings and negotiations with the Sales team.

  • Supporting B-end growth and A-end organic growth in existing customer base.

  • Providing post-sales support for contract processing and implementation issues (e.g., resolving problems with orders).

  • Strategic analysis and benchmarking of customers, product revenue performance, and price point trends.

  • Reviewing and recommending improvements regarding all aspects of the pricing and commercial processes in conjunction with other functional areas.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Three or more years of experience working in a commercial role.

  • Written and oral fluency in Japanese and English.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Demonstrated analytical and customer facing skills.

  • The ability to present clear recommendations in English for management consideration.

  • The ability to form clear recommendations and gain approval/support for a course of action from both PCM management and various functional stakeholders.

  • Pricing or marketing-related experience, particularly in Telecommunications or IT related industry.

  • The ability to work with minimal direct supervision, consider multiple options, and recommend a course of action.

  • A history of demonstrated initiative, identifying areas where improvements are desirable and possible, and driving these through to execution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • An appreciation for or experience with contract management.
