What you’ll be doing...

You are responsible for end to end delivery of recruitment activities for a specific functional business unit/s. You will be responsible for partnering with the senior leadership team, HRBP and extended leadership/solution providers to provide a consultative and advisory aligned recruitment solution. You are required to manage, develop, review and support business staffing needs while creating and delivering the required talent acquisition strategies to successfully support the staffing needs of the business.

You will be the SPOC for all the HM’s across your respective LOB/region and will be responsible for forging effective relationships with local and international business leaders, hiring managers and respective HR business partners. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of all requisitions/requests end-to-end, you will need to ensure that all requisitions (and projects) are managed within agreed delivery timelines (and within business process/procedure); this will include client customer meetings (briefings), creating/advising resourcing strategies, interviewing/assessing all candidates before presenting for business consideration, advising on recruitment best practice, managing the offer and (supporting the) on-boarding process.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Liaison for an entire business unit; responsible for operational performance review, recruiting strategy implementation and ultimate delivery
  • Recommends (and create) recruiting strategies surrounding diversity, education, college hiring and cross-functional talent and any additional, pertinent suggestions to improve overall Talent Acquisition effectiveness in support of business success
  • Meet with management teams and develop adequate hiring objectives/strategies
  • You will partner with the BU/HRBP on their workforce plan; ensuring resourcing plans are aligned, reviewing req demand to plan (report and present on a quarterly basis) and providing headcount attainment projections (actual Vs. WFP)
  • Implement recruitment strategies to solidify Verizon’s commitment to acquire and develop a diverse workforce, including internal top talent mobility
  • Execute, and support, full life cycle recruitment: sourcing through day 1 commencement
  • Obtain guidance from management and senior-level team members as necessary in order to provide strategic staffing support to assigned client base across the region; Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process
  • Working closely with the HRBP and Talent Assessment team you will need to ensure you are addressing any skills/succession gaps (including regular reviews of gaps and aligning resourcing plans/actions to address)
  • Youwill need to provide quantifiable reporting/analysis (with the support of a reporting analyst) across all key hiring metrics on a regular (monthly/quarterly/annual) basis; this will also include addressing any key opportunities (degree hires, CTTF, diversity, comp ratios, locations analysis, CPH, performance attainment, talent management/performance ratings etc)
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing improved processes and standardising processes for recruiting that fits within Verizon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer
  • Build network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management; conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating an ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios
  • Ensure that all candidates have completed the appropriate level of assessment; verbal interviewing and/or screening, technical, behavioral and/or (as required) psychometric
  • Consistently maintain your own personal network of pre-qualified profiles suitable for business review (‘Top5’ external profiles/talents)
  • Support the extended TA solution by attending career fairs and other community and/or professional recruitment events to identify talent
  • Utilize a variety of resources to source candidates including: job boards, cold calls, creative online searches, internal job posting site, and employee referral program
  • Conduct telephone and in-person interviews to evaluate applicants and refer qualified candidates to the hiring manager
  • Confer with hiring manager and HR Business Partner to determine most qualified candidate; compile, negotiate, and extend offer to the selected individual
  • Ensure that applicant records and statistics are properly maintained; ensure that all phases of the employment process are in full, legal compliance
  • Support overall HR team goals; partnering with extended HR team (including solution providers and any TPV)
  • Perform other duties as assigned and needed to support the goals of the local, and global, TA, HR and business priorities

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have

  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, human resources or a related discipline, or six or more years of relevant experience

  • Six or more years of relevant experience

  • Extensive experience recruiting in a corporate and/or agency recruiting environment

  • Experience managing people and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships

  • Leadership experience managing recruiters and coordinators

  • Experience in and/or a working knowledge of recruiting policies and practices across the JAPAC region

  • Experience in closing critical Senior Technical/Leadership positions

  • A broad and deep professional network across the larger JAPAC region

  • Strong knowledge in compensation/rewards plans and legislative requirements across the APAC region

  • Extensive experience in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and the regulatory/compliance requirements in region

  • Experience in partnering/working with and leveraging external vendors/partners

  • Experience developing and delivering end-to-end recruitment campaign strategies to meet client requirements in a complex MNC enterprise

  • Proven project and program management skills and experiencewith a previously displayed ability to deliver on milestones/deadlines

  • Experience training and mentoring junior recruiters

  • Experience adapting and partnering with global functions to deliver holistic solution
