What you’ll be doing...

The Creative Director - Head of Photography oversees the creative direction, vision, planning and execution of all photography across the Verizon ecosystem in coordination with Verizon stakeholders. Primary area of focus would be on the craft of photography and the editorial governance of its placement across the retail, digital and social channels. The CD - Head of Photography would assemble a team dedicated to maximizing creative output while maintaining core efficiencies and budgetary guidelines. They would also offer, when requested, consultation for senior leaders on photography’s role in relation to other visual and experiential initiatives within the company.

  • Partner with In-house agency and Verizon leads to assess and execute specific photography needs throughout the Verizon ecosystem.
  • Spearhead, when necessary, the strategic direction, evolution and point of view for photography.
  • Develop detailed production rollout for photography needs inclusive of covering large- and small-scale editorial shoots.
  • Experience in static to video creation and production.
  • Oversee all photographic- and related-talent hires in conjunction with creative leads.
  • Responsible for all post-production retouching and final image delivery specifications.
  • Work with numerous community organizations to bring Verizon’s photography program to underrepresented groups.
  • Partner with Communications and Marketing teams to help socialize and tell the story of Verizon’s photography program.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • In-house, agency or editorial experience.
  • Working knowledge in industry-standard software and tools.
  • Portfolio required.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Four or more years of experience as a senior creative leader.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage differing viewpoints so the final product remains true to the objective.
  • Proven leadership skills to maximize team talents.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
