What you’ll be doing...

As a key member of the strategic insights team, you will provide meaningful, objective analysis on important topics for senior leadership with an emphasis on delivering strategic outside-in perspectives. You will provide insight and expertise to help inform the development of future opportunities while supporting the development of scenarios and the strategic planning process. These perspectives will be on external trends as well major developments in and beyond the telecommunications industry.

  • Develop perspectives on key, impactful, strategic questions and consumer topics with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Inform a vision of the future through the lens of scenarios and analysis of current and future trends and the impacts to Verizon.
  • Assess strategic and financial positions of players in and adjacent to the communications industry to inform long-term perspectives of the competitive landscape; participating in strategic moves and market responses.
  • Develop topical, insightful perspectives for strategy sessions with Verizon Consumer Group (VCG) senior leadership.
  • Support the development of board-level presentations and executive presentations.
  • Present analysis and findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide executive support and stakeholder management.

What we’re looking for...

We are looking for a creative, driven thinker with excellent research and analytical skills who can find uncommon insights and translate them into meaningful, actionable, strategic perspectives. The ideal individual takes pride in delivering the highest quality work while managing the needs of the business and helping others be their best.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s degree, preferably an MBA.
  • Excellent research and fact finding skills.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to distill, communicate and present complex information in an easily digestible format.
  • A willingness to adopt new approaches, ways of thinking, and/or directions when needed - resourceful.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Google Suite.
  • Comfort working in a large, dynamic, and complex work environment where developing and managing relationships are critical to success.
  • An ability to translate content into visually appealing formats, primarily via Powerpoint and Google Slides.
