What you’ll be doing...
Join our Information Technology team where you will work on new technologies and find ways to meet our customers’ needs and make it easy for them to do business with us.
You will use functional expertise to act as an advisor to management and make recommendations on more complex projects. You will use professional concepts and company policies & procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems creatively and practically. After initial training, you will be able to handle critical operation tasks as well as on demand requests.
- Responsible for operations and administration of Hortonworks Hadoop platform, Splunk administration.
- UseDevOps and agile principles, utilizing Jenkins, Ansible to enable CI / CD.
- Work independently on day to day monitoring and operations of Data Analytics platform.
- Develop automation using scripting languages.
- Operations and administration of Hortonworks Hadoop platform and framework such as Mapreduce, HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Pig and Oozie.
- Monitoring and support for Stream technologies such as Storm, Kafka and Spark.
- DevOps CI / CD integration using JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible.
What we’re looking for...
You’re curious about new technology and the possibilities it creates. You like solving problems and quickly resolving challenging issues.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in Hadoop Big Data Platform Operations and Administration.
- Experience in Splunk or Tableau administration.
- Experience with CI / CD using JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible.
- Experience with any scripting language such as BASH, Perl, Ruby or Python.
Even better if you have:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in monitoring and supporting large-scale & highly available systems in a 24/7 environment.
- Knowledge of AWS technologies.
- Knowledge of container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Two or more years of experience in administration of multi-node Hortonworks Hadoop platform.
- Experience in administration of Splunk or Tableau.
- Experience on AWS technologies: Cloud Formation, EC2, S3, EMR, Autoscale, Cloudwatch.
- Experience in development of microservices and deploying in Docker / Kubernetes.
- Strong in UNIX, Linux and Shell scripting, Perl, PHP, Javascript, JSON, Python.
- Certifications like HDP Certified Administrator (HDPCA), or any other Hadoop, Linux Certification.
- Teamwork & collaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams.
- Problem solving skills to develop quick and solutions to resolve complex issues.
