What you’ll be doing...
As a Data/Systems Analyst, you will beresponsible for driving implementation of all the key initiative in Finance organization and transformation projects to support business needs. You will define strategies, develop and deliver solutions that enable the collection, processing and management of information from one or more sources, and the subsequent delivery of information to audiences in support of key business processes under tight timelines.
This highly visible role collaborates with cross-functional teams involving multiple stakeholders and works closely with FP&A, Accounting & COE leaders. It requires exceptional customer focus and management skills to make sure that the deliverables are met with successful user adoption of the processes / solution implemented.
- Be Accountable for aligning and driving the long term strategies and objectives of the directorate for reporting solutions.
- Be Responsible for medium to large-scale reporting solutions projects delivery in line with long-term strategies/objectives and with significant impact on Verizon's Reporting processes and IT landscape.
- Analyze and translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements by collaborating with cross functional teams.
- Define, design and build Application Architecture and deliver detailed Technical Design Documents with Data Flows to deliver reporting solutions.
- Lead functional requirements and technical design review sessions with relevant stakeholders and obtain sign offs.
- Prepare and execute test plans; document key data quality metrics to build processes; work through the build lifecycle (SDLC): analysis, design, development & testing to ensure delivery of required solution in a timely manner.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Oracle EPM - Hyperion Essbase and Planning & Cloud (PBCS)
- Experience in PL/SQL 7.
- Experience in the area of financial data management working with major projects and initiatives.
- Experience with tools like Visio, MS Office and SmartSheets etc.
Even better if you have:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree required in Math, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with S4 HANA, eHANA, PaPM & WEBI Reporting
- Knowledge of logical data modeling concepts (RDBMS Architecture) and querying tools such as SQL Navigator / Developer or TOAD.
- Extensive experience and expert understanding in the design and interaction of business systems, data architecture, data sets and applications.
- Experience with other ERP Systems (e.g. SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle).
- Experiencewith industry best practices with regards to financial reporting, its management and validation frameworks.
- Knowledge and technical acumen of business / financial systems functionality and capabilities.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills; comfortable with presenting to executives.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization.
