What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be part of the 1F OSP Engineering team supporting Data, Reporting & Analysis for the OneFiber & 5G Network build at Verizon. You will partner with key players to provide internal and external Program Management and Reporting analysis. Your role will help us ensure that both our internal and external customers’ project objectives are met, helping to identify drivers of poor performance, and aligning performance expectations through standardization. The responsibilities of this position are life cycle management, forecasting and data analytics to explain performance and targets. Emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail will be necessary skills, as well as a commitment to helping the team to accomplish a variety of requests while supporting the natural flow of OneFiber and Network Extension build.

  • Supporting the Outside Plant Engineering organization, and their 17 markets, while reporting to the Sr. Manager.
  • Utilizing data to drive feedback for continued automation improvements.
  • Leading efforts around identifying, documenting and communicating best practices for VZB engineers and external vendors.
  • Seeking opportunities to improve, providing guidance to leverage better performance from internal and external resources.
  • Interfacing with various departments, internal customers within the organization, external vendors and across multiple functions.
  • Building strong communication channels with vendors and internal departments such as Budget/Finance teams, OneFiber PMO team, Procurement, contract Admin and others.
  • Satisfying customer expectations in a timely manner.

***This position can be located out of any Centralized Florida location with easy access to the Temple Terrace FL Hub ***

You’re great at translating data jargon into every day terms. You’re flexible and nimble with changing customer priorities and goals.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong analytical skills with relevant work experience.
  • Financial budgeting/forecasting experience.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast paced environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
  • Problem solving, time management and decision making skills.
  • Ability to produce meaningful reporting.
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams across all levels of the organization to optimize business results.
  • Experience in telecommunications industry and/or fiber construction.
  • Self-starter and ability to adapt to changes.
  • Ability to investigate and follow SAP Transactions from initiation of a purchase order to payment.
  • Verbal and written communication skills with external construction vendors and internal engineers and management.
