The Junior Account Executive supports the Account Management team to manage internal client relationships. This Junior Account Executive will work closely with the broader Account Management team within the Retail project scope, assist clients, creative counterparts and project managers to ensure the creative work addresses business needs and meets creative excellence expectations. Finally, the Junior Account Executive will ensure project management follow-through and delivery.

  • Support Account Team to manage client projects and maintains the “big picture” for projects and client requirements, ensuring that related deliverables are treated appropriately.
  • For Tier 1 projects involving multiple components, may prepare cost/time estimates and track “big picture” progress and actual costs against estimates.
  • Coordinate with the creative team to confirm the final output is appropriately aligned to client objectives.
  • Work with clients and Account Team to develop and manage overall marketing calendar identifying Tier 2 and 3 marketing projects across a calendar year that enables Creative Services to staff, prioritize, and plan to meet those needs.
  • Understand clients’ products, audiences, and business objectives and ensures objectives are applied to client projects; collaborates with designers and writers to ensure the final product delivers on the client's expectations.
  • Review products for quality, consistency, accuracy, and advancement of the visual and verbal brand in design.
  • Review and ensure that consistent image/message is conveyed across the client’s products.
  • Help client understand the importance of the brand and marketing objectives.
  • Stay abreast of competitor marketing strategies as well as innovations and emerging trends in the industry.
  • Executes client requests by working with the creative and production teams, working with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all client edits are implemented correctly; spell check was run; and specs, brand, deadlines, and budget were adhered to).
  • Partner with stakeholders and incorporate others’ viewpoints into project management process.

What we’re looking for...

To be eligible for this role, you must be a current participant of the Adfellows program.
You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience working in marketing or creative projects.
  • Successful completion of the adfellows program.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or business.
  • Previous experience in an account management role either in an external or internal agency.
  • Ability to partner with clients to write thorough and actionable creative briefs.
  • Ability to state opinions clearly and verbally update clients on project status.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and strategic thinking skills.
