What you’ll be doing...

As a project manager, you will be working on (but not limited to) BMS / Controls network projects. This position will be part of building and evolving Verizon's controls environment gearing up for the future. The project manager will have overall responsibility for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of multiple projects. You will be required to drive initiatives from the initial concept and design through to handover to operations.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP Networking on the both Application & Transport Layer.
  • Understanding of DNS
  • Understanding of IPv4 and IPv6
  • Appreciating on the importance of secure IP instruction.
  • Good understanding of Industrial Networks i.e., Modbus & BACnet.
  • Understanding of Building Management (BMS) and Power Monitoring System (PMS).
  • Understanding of databases and need for Big Data with relation to multiple data sources and systems.
  • Liaising with product experts

    What we’re looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree (Preferably BEng) in relevant engineering subject or relevant work experience
    • Experience in managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
    • Willingness to travel in Europe and Asia Pacific.
    • Valid driver's license.

    Even better if you have:

    • A 2nd degree in business, finance, computer science, engineering.
    • Experience in leadership roles in technology management.
    • Experience in BMS / controls technologies.
    • Experience in managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
    • Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives.
    • Strong leadership, problem solving and negotiation skills.
    • Project management certification.
    • Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office and Google suite
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including: Communicating - written, oral, listening, speaking, Negotiating – reaching agreements; Problem Solving – decision making; Influencing – getting things done.
    • Track record of successful project execution.
    • Ability to be resilience and to be tenacity during tough assignments
    • Knowledge to understand a project’s technical breadth (e.g. call flow, billing, provisioning, operations, etc.)
