What you’ll be doing...

Verizon has over 23 years of experience in the cyber security space, and is proud to feature in the top right of the Gartner Managed Security Service Magic Quadrant as well as hold many other accolades.
As a security sales leader you will guide a team of regional security sales specialists who are dedicated to the BENELUX and Nordics regions. Additionally, you will serve as a thought leader for the practice. You will be responsible for developing business solutions for our customers and leading/managing all security sales functions within regions, with the goal of meeting and exceeding business metrics/objectives. These will include revenue, sales, and strategic growth. This will be crucial to driving the operational readiness and strategic business initiatives and to exceed objectives. You’ll react to market opportunities and competitive changes, address sales performance weaknesses, and attack new prospects as well as upsell/cross-sell opportunities through the implementation of targeted campaigns. You will make sound and timely business decisions to drive short-term and long-term performance, to align sales resources with the greatest opportunities in the most cost effective ways, to improve sales performance through better processes, technology, and methodologies, and to improve team morale.

  • Establishing relationships with key customers and serving as a liaison with business development and legal groups to drive sales, service, and vertical objectives.
  • Directing, coaching, and mentoring a sales team to meet/exceed key performance metrics.
  • Leading by example, to understand our customer’s true business drivers, market and competitive forces, and security industry trends.
  • Interacting with both internal and external executive management and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Understanding our customer’s business operations, challenges, and needs to develop value propositions.
  • Overseeing and handling complex outsourcing engagements, customer escalations, and providing ongoing customer support.
  • Maintaining accurate forecast metrics and reporting.
  • Measuring effectiveness of sales team customer engagement, relationship development, and security expertise.
  • Matrix managing internal stakeholders (including Marketing and Product Management) to align to consistent strategy within your region.
  • Guiding product enhancement and development.
  • Aligning the team activity and culture to the Verizon Credo.
  • Implement sales programs and initiatives to drive Verizon’s strategic sales growth, utilizing all available marketing and sales capabilities to achieve this.

What we’re looking for...

You area strong leader, extremely organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and quality-minded.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in selling IT security related services and solutions.
  • Experience selling at C-level to multinational organisations.
  • Sales leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, educating and guiding others.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as the role requires.
  • Valid driver's license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Broad security industry knowledge.
  • IT Security related qualifications or accreditations.
  • A proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projects.
  • A history of exceeding revenue targets related to emerging technology or emerging product areas.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in successfully securing and analyzing large volumes of data to make recommendations toward achieving specific operational goals.
  • Strong business financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent team leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure cohesive efforts toward a shared goal.
