What you’ll be doing...

The Chief of Staffwill support the Chief Revenue Office (CRO) organization in the Verizon Business Group (VBG). The Director will lead a team with a range of responsibilities that will ensure an effective structure for decision making and execution for the CRO organization. This candidate will play a key role on the leadership team and navigate a broad range of complex business and management challenges, collaborating across a variety of business partners.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with the CRO leadership team to integrate projects and initiatives into a holistic roadmap grouped by key strategic priorities
  • Manage communication flow to ensure accuracy and transparency; help create the vision for the team and architect communication strategies that drive employee engagement
  • Manage executive meeting agendas and action items, including negotiating specific agenda items and managing schedule changes
  • Facilitate timely execution of data / materials collection for leadership meetings, reviews, and presentations
  • Manage executive slide development, including building from scratch, adapting existing formats, clarifying requirements, incorporating updates, and providing feedback
  • Provide simplified data visualization or illustrations on operational data and business processes to deliver concise storyline and strategy updates
  • Design, compile, and communicate high-level weekly and monthly reports, and build thorough and complete back-up materials for presentations
  • Build excellent working relationships with non-reporting teams of all levels to achieve project goals
  • Recognize criticality of time sensitive turnaround times for executive materials and requests; ensure all timelines are met or exceeded
  • Drive opportunities to streamline processes and create efficiencies
  • Provide executive direction and professional leadership to the team; influence team to meet delivery milestones, build positive relationships, and develop timelines and action plans to mitigate potential risks
  • Analyze business and performance metrics and reporting out on trends and strategic opportunities
  • Partner with leaders for budget planning, financial tracking, and maintain six-month out view of strategic plans to ensure deliverables are met
  • Oversee all the day-to-day administration for the CRO Office
  • Actively demonstrate attributes of the Credo

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience required; Masters / MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of business operations, management, and budgeting experience
  • 5+ years of leading people, with demonstrated success of strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in GSuite, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and Slack; expert in PowerPoint presentations
  • Highly organized, with extensive project management experience
  • Detail-oriented, excellent judgment, independent thinker, and resourceful
  • Ability to anticipate needs and to act proactively, ensuring compliance with non-reporting, cross-functional team members of all levels, including executives
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to manage and drive change
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within time constraints and manage multiple projects
  • Comfortable taking on new technical or management skills with minimal prep in exceedingly short time
  • Insightful, forward thinker; change agent
  • Strong consulting skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including advanced presentation creation skills
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication
