What you’ll be doing...

As a Sr Mgr-Sys Engrg on Verizon’s VCG SOE GTS Team, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end delivery of multiple digital programs for Conversational/Chatbot applications, cloud-based platforms, and emerging technologies.

  • Providing technical leadership and business-related subject matter expertise on large, highly complex projects.
  • Performing activities related to all phases of the systems life cycle.
  • Performing technical evaluation of products and occasionally developing systems-related standards and procedures.
  • Leading customer facing chatbot, agent facing bot, lead delivery and collaborate it with Systems of Engagement and Experience teams.
  • Collaborating with CXP and Pega GTS teams on North Star Architecture programs.
  • Performing project management activities (e.g., budgeting, planning, sizing, staffing, scheduling, and implementing).
  • Analyzing and proactively managing problems, and make decisions that impact overall systems and projects.
  • Performing multivariate tests in Digital platforms and also making sure continuous process optimization tests are executed on the platform.
  • Evaluating, developing, and implementing systems solutions to effectively fulfill business requirements.
  • Leading onsite and offshore teams in delivering projects with tight deadlines.
  • Validating the design/architecture by prototyping proposed solutions in short timeframes.
  • After successful validation, creating detailed designs and design reviews with internal and external teams.
  • Providing technical leadership and/or business-related subject matter expertise.
  • Articulating the problem statement and openly bring up challenges, roadblocks, and impediments, negotiate, influence and drive solutions with directors and for tactical and strategic Systems of Engagement architecture approach and business capabilities.
  • Leveraging industry trends to drive innovation and solution excellence across various functional domains within the SOE Chatbot space.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of management work experience, leading mix size teams.
  • Four or more years of experience in software engineering and development, including leading IT teams through Business Analysis, Project Management, and digital technologies.
  • Four or more years of experience in handling Digital applications (mobility, online/web, chatbot).
  • Four or more years of experience in JAVA - microservices and front end technologies and adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Four or more years of experience handling and delivering large programs.
  • Two or more years of experience working in React and Angular UI stack.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Management or related discipline.
  • Experience leading a mid to large size, diverse portfolio comprising of employee and vendor resource base.
  • Exposure to managing a large vendor pool of technical resources in a T&M and SOW arrangement.
  • Ability to adapt to demands of the business and ever changing technology landscape.
  • Knowledge partnering with Business and IT teams at multiple levels to drive alignment and delivery of complex problems.
  • Proven record of using data-driven CX experiments to optimize eCommerce shopping flows.
  • Exposure with incorporating data analytics elements and ML algorithms to create personalized user experiences.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, facilitate workout sessions to ideate and derive joint cross-functional solutions to improve digital experiences and streamline Omni processes.
  • Exposure in business process transformation and user experience optimization.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Relevant project and program delivery Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of technology selection, architecture, and full-stack implementation.
  • Exposure in troubleshooting and supporting mission-critical 24X7 production systems and leading real-time high-stakes mitigation plans and driving timely decisions.
