What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a professional to lead pre/post-sales marketing activities for the Public Sector Partner Channel. Candidates must have an understanding of Public Sector (FED and SLED) sales and procurement lifecycles from lead generation through award and delivery. You’ll work closely with Public Sector Partner Channel leadership, Verizon Corporate Channels, Public Sector Marketing and other internal groups. You’ll participate in the development of channel identity initiatives, develop and implement marketing plans, promotional calendars and programs; and facilitate channel communications. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales leaders and Public Sector Marketing to define channel messaging, themes and business development strategies
  • Distill Verizon capabilities and benefits into core marketing messages, presentations, white papers and proposal content that resonate with Public Sector’s partner channel and their customers
  • Deliver clear, concise content for websites and social media; manage partner collaboration tools
  • Develop marketing strategy and assist with planning and executing sales initiatives; actively participate in marketing events for lead generation
  • Collaborate with channel leadership in executing Verizon Public Sector’s growth strategy

     

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Seven to 10 years of relevant work experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology companies/products to public sector IT customers.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid driver's license

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Marketing experience working within the enterprise technology, security and software development industry.
  • Marketing experience working with Systems Integrators and Consulting Companies.
  • Direct government marketingexperience.
